EU Statement on the bombing of a Protestant church in Solo (27/09/2011)

The European Union Delegation issues the following statement in agreement with the EU Heads of Mission in Indonesia.

The EU Delegation to Indonesia condemns the bombing of a Protestant church in Solo on Sunday 25th September and extends its condolences to the victims of the attack and their families.

With the need to protect religious minorities in law and practice in mind, the EU Delegation welcomes the determination voiced by the Indonesian authorities to bring those responsible for the attack to justice.
