EU KINOTEKAS
EU KINOTEKAS BRING EUROPEAN CINEMA TO STUDENTS ACROSS INDIA
In the month of October, the Delegation of the European Union and the Embassies of the EU Member States are launching a new project, EU KINOTEKAS, whereby a selection of European films are screened in universities and colleges across India.
The project aims to present European films to Indian students in their university/college. A set of DVDs would travel through the country for non-commercial screenings during the 2012-2013 academic year. The films are screened in their original language, with English subtitles.
The films are provided by the EU Member States.
Universities would themselves organise screenings in their premises within 1-2 weeks. The EU Delegation would send the set of DVDs and film brochures at an agreed date to your university/college, and would pick the films up at the end of the screenings. University/college would nominate a contact person responsible for organisation of the Kinoteka (agreeing the dates of screenings, receiving/sending and screening of DVDs, etc.).
Where possible, the screenings would be accompanied by lectures and discussions on the European Union and/or its Member States, delivered by Ambassadors or other diplomats.
If your university is interested in participating in the EU KINOTEKAS project, kindly let us know by contacting the EU Delegation.
