Flash Eurobarometer – Youth on the Move (01/06/2011)

The European Commission published in May a Flash Eurobarometer survey “Youth on the Move” that looks at how mobile young people (aged 15 to 35) in Europe are for the purpose of education and work and how they view the attractiveness of different education settings. It also looks at their main concerns when seeking employment and their willingness to set up a business, or move to another country for employment.The survey includes a nationally representative samples of young people living in the 27 EU Member States, as well as Croatia, Iceland, Norway and Turkey.

According to the survey, 84% of young people in Iceland say they would be willing to work in another European country. At the same time 90% of young people in Iceland say that higher education in their home country is an attractive option.
