This year, the European Film Festival is back in Suva and, for the first time, also in Labasa!

 The European Film Festival is back in Fiji bigger and better than ever! This is a FREE public event showcasing 10 films from 10 different countries with a variety of styles, genres and stories. They provide a window to the vibrant world in Europe — from Spain to Cyprus, to France and beyond! They give an insight into the lives of Europeans from all backgrounds and show that we all have our own unique stories to tell, but that our humanity is what unites us all.

The 3rd edition of the European Film Festival is here! It is a public event open to all, free of charge!

Residents of Fiji will have an opportunity to immerse themselves in the rich cultural tapestry of Europe through the 2024 European Film Festival, organized by the Delegation of the European Union to the Pacific. This year's festival promises to be bigger and better than ever, with an exciting line-up of films showcasing the diverse landscapes, stories, and traditions of Europe.

For the first time, the festival will extend its reach to Labasa, ensuring that more Fijians have the chance to experience the magic of European cinema. In Suva, the festival will run from May 17 to May 24, 2024, offering a weeklong celebration of European filmmaking. The screenings will take place at the Damodar City Cinema, providing a premier viewing experience for movie enthusiasts and cultural explorers alike. Labasa will join the festivities from May 24 to May 25, 2024, with screenings at the newly built Damodar City.

The festival's curated program will feature 10 captivating films, each offering a unique glimpse into the diverse cultures, landscapes, and narratives that make up the rich tapestry of Europe. From Spain to Italy, Germany to Greece, these films will take audiences on a journey across the continent, showcasing the universal themes that unite us all. Movies cover the contents that connect Europe with Pacific, such as women empowerment in sports, gender quality, the bonds of friendship and family, these films will touch upon the shared human experiences that suits with viewers of all ages and backgrounds.

We invite Fijian families, young people, students, and the artistic community to join us in this extraordinary celebration of European cinema and culture.

  After a 30 year haiatus, a music producer assembles his former rock band to play one last concert to earn enough money for his daughter's expensive education.
