The EU Info Centre in Iceland participated in UN Women's beautiful candlelight procession 25 November 2012 to mark the beginning of 16 days of activism to eliminate violence against women. More than 100 people participated in the walk and attended the subsequent fundraising screening of the British film Tyrannosaur.
The event was a part of Reykjavik European Film Festival (REFF), organized by the EU Info Centre and Bíó Paradís, which came to an end last night with screenings of two films on the topic of gender-based violence, 'Tyrannosaur' and 'When we leave', as well as the LUX-nominated films 'Taboo' and 'Sister'.
