17 January, Moscow – EU-Russia Permanent Partnership Council on freedom, security and justice (13/01/2014)
On 17 January at 10:00, the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation will host the seventeenth meeting of the EU-Russia Permanent Partnership Council on freedom, security and justice.
The meeting will discuss issues including further visa facilitation, cooperation and exchange of experience on fight against illegal distribution of narcotic drugs, corruption, and terrorism and strengthening of mutual legal assistance on criminal cases. It will also discuss issues related to protection of witnesses and victims, extrajudicial dispute resolution, strengthening of advocacy and notarial system and other issues.
Following the meeting, Russian Minister of Justice Alexander Konovalov and EU Commissioner for Home Affairs Cecilia Malmström will give a joint press briefing at 12:00 at the press center of the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation.
