The European Union (EU) programme of cooperation supports the Philippines development strategy. More than 100 projects are currently being carried out across a range of sectors, regions and cities of the country. EU assistance focuses in particular on support for health, trade and investment, good governance, environment / Climate change, human rights, attention to indigeneous peoples, and conflict prevention and peace. EU funding for projects in the Philippines is provided in the form of grants contracts and increasingly budget support.
