European Commission Vice President Tajani in Israel

 During his two day visit to Israel on October 21-22 , Antonio Tajani, Vice President of the European Commission, responsible for Industry and Entrepreneurship held a series of meetings with Israeli ministers and with President Shimon Peres.  Leading a delegation of 65 companies and industry association from 17  EU Member States he stressed throughout the visit that Israel and the  European Union have a genuine interest in increasing bilateral business relations and that EU was keen to work with Israel - an important partner for the EU's economy -  towards closer and more regular cooperation.  He also stressed the positive political message signified by his visit.  VP Tajani met with Minister of Science, Technology and Space Ya'akov Perry and signed an administrative arrangement on cooperation in the field of satellite navigation with the Israel Space Agency. With Minister of  Tourism Uzi Landau  he discussed initiatives for expanding tourism and with Economy Minister Naftali Bennett he signed a "letter of intent" on industrial cooperation and on Small and Medium Enterprises. VP Tajani also met Minister of National Infrastructures, Energy and Water Resources Silvan Shalom to discuss cooperation on green technology in industry.
