The Joy of Greek music packs the house!

A grand concert in honor of Europe Day, held in Harpa and organised by Evropustofa, was very well received.

Greek music was at the forefront of the concert, in light of the Greek Presidency of the Council of the European Union. The Caput ensemble, accompanied by Geoffrey Douglas Madge and Thora Einarsdottir, and the rebétiko band Pringipessa Orchestra offered an evening of beautiful and varied Greek and Greek-inspired music to the packed Eldborg music hall in Harpa.

The beloved Icelandic actor, Karl Agust Ulfsson, guided the audience through the musical experience and informed the public about the Greek composers, the Greek music tradition and its influence on the work of other composers.

It is safe to say that the concert was very successful, with an outstanding musical performances and a very varied programme.
