EDD2015: Future Leaders Programme - A call to all Future Leaders

Do you want to participate in Europe’s largest forum on development? Do you want to have a say in the debates that shape development policy? Apply to the EU’s Future Leaders Programme to be selected to come to European Development Days 2015 in Brussels!

Young people from around the world, aged 21-26, are invited to join the debate on the future of internal cooperation at the upcoming European Development Days (EDD15), Europe’s premier forum on global cooperation and development, which will take place in Brussels on 3-4 June. Deadline for applications is 18 March 2015.

Young people actively contribute to the fight against poverty on a daily basis through innovative projects and initiatives. The European Commission wants to recognise this contribution and put their achievements in the spotlight; helping to give them a role in shaping the development policies that will affect them and their future. EDD15 will select 12 extraordinary young people between the ages of 21-26, who can represent the powerful impact that youth are having in the development field. These Future Leaders will be invited to speak in high-level panels about a topic they are passionate about, alongside other global leaders.

How to apply
The deadline for submitting a detailed application is 18 March 2015. The application should include a CV, as well as a two-minute video explaining which one of the 12 topics that will be discussed at the EDD15 is the most interesting, and why. The European Commission will select youth representatives, or ‘future leaders’ on the basis of their skills, experience and commitment on a given issue.
