Congratulations Icelandic women!

Among the countries that now form the European Union, Denmark was the first one to grant women universal suffrage, on 5 June 1915, the same year as Icelandic women got their right to vote, on this day 19 June.

The last among the EU countries was Cyprus, granting women the right to vote on 16 August 1960.
