Conference on fisheries in Europe on Wednesday 10th September at 16:00, room 101 in Oddi building at the University of Iceland

Christian Cardon, mayor of Trouville-sur-Mer in Normandy, will give a conference on fisheries in Europe from the point of view of a mayor from a port town in France.

 

The conference will be held on Wednesday 10th September at 16:00, room 101 in Oddi building at the University of Iceland.

 

Refreshments (including French wine) will be served at the end of the conference.

 

The conference will be held in English.

 

 Trouville-sur-Mer is a quite famed harbour and seaside resort in the Calvados department in Normandy. Every day, 27 trawlers provide fresh fish to the region. Trouville-sur-Mer is a mackerel fishing centre in the Baie de Seine.

 

Christian Cardon has been mayor of Trouville-sur-Mer since 1983. He held important positions in various ministries in France and he is magistrate of the Court of Audit.
