Eastern Partnership parliamentarians meet in Tbilisi to discuss human rights (21/09/2015)

On 21-22 September, members of parliaments from five Eastern Partnership countries will take part in a seminar to discuss the role of national parliaments in implementing the standards of the European Convention on Human Rights. The seminar is organised as part of the EU and Council of Europe cooperation framework for the Eastern Partnership.

Parliamentarians from Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine, as well as from other Council of Europe member states will discuss with independent experts and specialists in this field the compatibility of draft laws with the European Convention on Human Rights and the role of parliaments in the effective execution of judgments of the European Court of Human Rights.
