For the first time in its history, the Afghan National Police Academy (ANPA) celebrated International Teachers’ Day.

The celebration brought together not only police teachers from various institutions of higher training of the Afghan National Police, such as the Police Staff College, the General Training Command and the Crime Management College, but also representatives of civilian universities led by the Deputy Minister of Higher Education. International colleagues from EUPOL and the German Police Project Team joined in on the celebration.

For the last few years, the institutions of higher training of the Afghan National Police have developed positively. The increased professionalisation of Afghan National Police trainers will, over time, contribute to efficient leadership and management of the Afghan police force. This will be one of the cornerstones in the promotion of security for Afghanistan and its citizens.

Our congratulations go out to all Afghan teachers who are taking their nation forward through education and schooling.
