EUAVSEC’s mandate ended 17th January 2014

EUAVSEC was established by the European Union Council Decision of 18th June 2012 with a mandate for 19 months. The mission terminated its operations in South Sudan 17th January 2014 when its mandate came to an end.

The European Union Aviation Security Mission in South Sudan (EUAVSEC) has facilitated an Executive Management Course for 9 senior Government officials, to equip them with knowledge on administration, human resources management, management tools, operations and implementation of well-defined organizational strategic structures.

European Union Aviation Security Mission (EUAVSEC) held its first medal parade

The European Union Aviation Security Mission (EUAVSEC) in South Sudan held its first medal parade at a ceremony held at the Missions Headquarters in Juba Friday. The EUAVSEC medal parade is held every six months to hand over the EU service medal to mission members who have served in the mission for more than 30 days.

Earlier this month the European Union Aviation Security Mission (EUAVSEC) established its new Headquarters Haliaeetus House on Canada Boulevard in Tong Ping District in Juba. On the 22 February 2013 the Mission's new headquarters was inaugurated.
